Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cuervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sparky Anderson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sparky Anderson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cuervo checks a leg kick.
Cuervo misses with a leg kick.
Anderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cuervo.
Anderson misses with a hook. Cuervo ducked under it nicely.
Cuervo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Anderson will feel that in the morning.
Cuervo delivers a nice body kick.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cuervo moves away.
A little jabbing left from Cuervo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cuervo checks a low kick from Anderson.
Cuervo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson moves out of range of the strikes.
Cuervo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Anderson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Cuervo tries a low kick but Anderson avoids it.
Cuervo tries to score with a low kick but Anderson moves his leg out of the way.
Cuervo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Anderson.
Cuervo throws a jab when Anderson was well out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Anderson. That snapped Cuervo's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cuervo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Anderson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Anderson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Cuervo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That kick from Cuervo tenderised Anderson's leg. Anderson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Cuervo - that will leave a mark!
Cuervo works Anderson's body with a nice hook.
Cuervo throws the kick towards the body but Anderson avoids it.
Cuervo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Anderson lands a jab to the nose.

Cuervo is rocked!
Anderson throws an overhand right that drops Cuervo like a sack of potatoes! Anderson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sparky Anderson!
