Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernie Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernie Quick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Quick. Those never looked like landing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thomas! But no joy.
Thomas takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Quick missing with a left hand there. Thomas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And Thomas tries to counter it with a takedown but Quick pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Quick misses with a looping right.
Quick just misses with a punch to the body.
Thomas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Thomas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Quick counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Chad Thomas has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Quick's waist but Quick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thomas off to one side.
Ernie Quick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Thomas.
Quick circles away from the clinch attempt
and Quick counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown. Quick tries to sprawl out of it but Thomas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thomas has a takedown stuffed.
Quick is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

and Quick counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Quick misses the jab.
Chad Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quick lands with a shot to the body.
Quick throws a jab but it's blocked by Thomas.
Thomas tries for a takedown but Quick circles away easily
and Quick counters with a left to the body.
Thomas looks winded!
Quick digs a good hook to Thomas's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quick jabs Thomas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Quick bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Thomas's head backwards.
Quick lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas fails with the takedown
and Quick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Quick lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Thomas out cold! Thomas is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ernie Quick!
