Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Fairbanks fails to land.
Rex tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fairbanks smiles and moves away.
Fairbanks misses with a body shot.
Rex slips under a jab from Fairbanks.
Rex clinches up against the cage.
Rex slows down the pace here.
Fairbanks tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rex jumps guard and drags Fairbanks to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fairbanks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fairbanks passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fairbanks tries to move to mount but Rex blocks the move with his legs.

Rex has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fairbanks is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rex.
