Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Von Vena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vena gets a takedown into half guard.
Lancaster pushes Vena off looking to stand but Vena dives back in and keeps control.

Lancaster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vena is trying to control. Lancaster wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vena takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lancaster is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vena has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vena shoots in but Lancaster avoids the takedown attempt easily.

As Vena tries to get set, Lancaster tries to push him back and clinch up but Vena manages to avoid the attempt.

Vena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lancaster's waist but Lancaster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vena off to one side.
Vena rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lancaster moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lancaster shoots in and drives through. Vena sprawls well.
Vena wants to counter the offense by Lancaster and move into the clinch position.

Lancaster throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vena was covering up waiting for the punch and Lancaster finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Vena shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lancaster's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vena lands with a nice combination. Lancaster backs away looking to recover.
Vena shoots in for a takedown but Lancaster shows good takedown defense.

Lancaster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vena, pushing him back against the cage.

Vena's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vena throws a series of punches but Lancaster avoids them all with ease.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lancaster jabs Vena to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Vena fails with the takedown.

I would just about give that final round to Von Vena.
Well Lancaster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
