Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ikuhisa Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Kruglov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ikuhisa Matsumoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Kruglov!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruglov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice cross by Kruglov.
Nice shot lands for Matsumoto.
Matsumoto throws a combination that misses
letting Kruglov counter with a right hand.
Matsumoto takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kruglov!
Matsumoto throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kruglov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Matsumoto throws a series of punches but Kruglov moves out of range.
Kruglov throws a front kick that sends Matsumoto stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kruglov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Matsumoto takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Kruglov rushes Matsumoto and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kruglov misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kruglov breaks from the clinch.
Matsumoto throws a poor cross that misses
and Kruglov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kruglov moves out of range as Matsumoto strikes.
Kruglov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kruglov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Matsumoto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Matsumoto just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab lands there for Matsumoto.
Matsumoto takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kruglov misses with an uppercut. Matsumoto saw that one coming.
Kruglov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kruglov throws an off balance right hand
and Matsumoto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kruglov connects with a jab.

Kruglov takes the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Matsumoto.
Kruglov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Matsumoto backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matsumoto creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Matsumoto.
Kruglov misses with a hook from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kruglov connects with a nasty looking knee right to Matsumoto's face.


It looks like Ikuhisa Matsumoto has been cut.
Kruglov scores with a shot to the side of Matsumoto's head.
Matsumoto is trying to push Kruglov away but Kruglov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Matsumoto struggles to land a body shot inside as Kruglov controls his hands.
A bit of stalling here from Matsumoto.
Kruglov lands with a right to the head.
Matsumoto avoiding damage as Kruglov throws knees to the body.
Kruglov landing knees to the body.
Matsumoto tries to work over Kruglov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Matsumoto creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kruglov throws a punch but it's blocked by Matsumoto.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Matsumoto can't find room to land a body shot as Kruglov controls the action.
Kruglov lands a good knee to the midsection. Matsumoto won't want to take too many of those.
Matsumoto misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Kruglov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kruglov throws a good cross that connects.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Matsumoto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kruglov scores with a head kick. Matsumoto tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


Matsumoto is rocked!
Kruglov throws a nice looking combination but Matsumoto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oh Matsumoto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kruglov! Matsumoto is out on his feet! Kruglov rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Matsumoto is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Matsumoto is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anton Kruglov!
Anton Kruglov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
