PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Gardenia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Zach's Song. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eli Gardenia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Gardenia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Black swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Black misses with a wild combination.
Gardenia looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Black walks into a stiff left hand from Gardenia.
Gardenia connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Black's hands.
Black doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Black swinging wildly here.
Eli Gardenia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body punch from Gardenia.
Black really is a fat lump.
Black takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gardenia scores with a jab to the body.
Black throws a right and a left that Gardenia avoids nicely.
Gardenia scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Black walks into a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gardenia ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Black is breathing heavily.
Gardenia lands a nice looking body shot.
Gardenia connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Black throws a body shot but no joy.
A nice side step and Gardenia releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gardenia scores with a hook to the body. Black takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gardenia lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gardenia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Black has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gardenia finds it's way round the side to connect with Black's head.
Gardenia scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gardenia bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Black's head backwards.
Gardenia lands a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gardenia connects with a crisp jab.
Gardenia lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Gardenia cracks Black with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Gardenia as he connects with a hook.
Black takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Black takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Gardenia lands with a cross.
Nice uppercut there from Gardenia.

Black is rocked!
Black gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Gardenia points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Black wakes up just in time to hear Gardenia thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
