Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Fernandez persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Fernandez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gracie wants to stand up but Fernandez is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Fernandez is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fernandez manages to get himself to full guard.

Fernandez has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.
Fernandez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gracie content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Fernandez is retaining full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gracie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gracie stands up over Fernandez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gracie is pushing down on Fernandez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fernandez is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gracie lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Fernandez! More strikes land and this one is all over! Gracie jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
