Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cleveland Wiggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tj Ritchie!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritchie throws a right hand that Wiggins ducks under and follows up with a left that Wiggins also avoids with ease.
It looked like Wiggins was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ritchie.
Wiggins has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Cleveland Wiggins has been cut.

Ritchie clinches up with Wiggins and pushes him back against the cage.

Ritchie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wiggins connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ritchie's face.

Wiggins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ritchie strikes from the bottom but Wiggins uses the opportunity to move to side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ritchie is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wiggins is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ritchie. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Wiggins is landing with some decent strikes but Ritchie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Wiggins.

Wiggins just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

I really don't envy Ritchie right now.
