Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hilton Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Ritchie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilton Mann has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hilton Mann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Ritchie!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ritchie as Mann shoots in.
Ritchie misses with a head kick.
Mann misses with a takedown attempt - Ritchie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ritchie moves away.
Ritchie misses with a body kick.
Mann quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mann really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ritchie closes the distance and clinches.
Mann tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hilton Mann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ritchie lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Mann blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mann has Ritchie pressed against the cage, preventing Ritchie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ritchie successfully pulls guard.
Ritchie wants to stand up but Mann is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ritchie being controlled here, momentarily.
Ritchie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mann.
Ritchie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mann is controlling him.
Mann trying to control the position from guard on top but Ritchie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mann is really struggling to control Ritchie but he's trying to hold on to the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ritchie is looking to stand up but Mann isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A head kick by Ritchie misses
and Mann counters with a nice body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mann blocks a head kick by Ritchie.

Ritchie clinches with his opponent.

Mann breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mann has closed the distance and engaged Ritchie in a clinch.
Ritchie scores with a shot to the side of Mann's head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Ritchie throws an elbow but misses.
Ritchie tries to land knees in the clinch but Mann avoids the damage to the body.
Mann is trying to pull guard but Ritchie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Mann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ritchie walks away with a smile on his face. Mann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ritchie rushes Mann and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ritchie wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ritchie creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ritchie working hard to break the clinch.
Mann stalls.

Mann breaks from the clinch.
Ritchie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ritchie throws a sloppy head kick and Mann moves out of range easily.

Ritchie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mann is trying to defend but Ritchie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ritchie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ritchie working over Mann with some ground and pound. Mann looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.


Mann is rocked!
Ritchie lands a big elbow - Mann is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ritchie!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Ritchie!
James Ritchie decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
