Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark shoots in for a takedown but Perry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice cross by Perry.
Perry's corner calls for a 1-2. Perry obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Perry listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Perry lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Stark drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A punch combination from Perry misses.
Perry cracks Stark with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stark doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Perry counter with a right hand.

and Perry counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stark thinking.
Douglas Perry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Stark.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perry jabs Stark to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Perry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stark backs up against the cage.
Perry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stark darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perry is trying to stand back up but Stark is controlling him

Stark lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Perry is rocked!
Perry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stark scores with a couple of nice shots.
Oh Perry is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stark lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Perry quite badly. Perry pulls Stark in close trying to recover. Stark postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Perry on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Perry doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Stark!
Jose Stark decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
