Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genaro Petty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Maldini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enzo Maldini will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maldini closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Petty to the mat! Petty manages to get full guard.

Petty has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Maldini off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Maldini drives through with a takedown into Petty's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Petty wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maldini shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petty napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Petty manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Maldini keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Petty really is a fat lump.

Maldini turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maldini manages to end up in side control.

Petty sneaks out the side door and pushes Maldini away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Maldini shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Petty is trying to defend but Maldini finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Maldini feints and as Petty raises his hands in defense, Maldini changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Petty pushes Maldini off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Petty gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Petty is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Maldini presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Petty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Petty has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Maldini should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Petty has tightened it up now! Maldini should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
