The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scarn.
Nice straight punches there by Harris. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Harris.
Harris jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Scarn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Scarn closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Harris to work.

Scarn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Harris, as that shot connected.
Harris is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Harris avoids the body shot from Scarn.

Harris scores with a nice right hand.
Harris throws a series of strikes that have Scarn backpedaling.

It looks like Michael Scarn has been cut.
Harris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Scarn is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scarn misses with a few strikes there.
Harris misses with a looping left.
Harris misses with a leg kick
and Scarn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Scarn counters with a nice uppercut.

Scarn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harris sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Harris thinks about the counter body kick.
Scarn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Harris misses with a kick to the body.
Scarn connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Harris lands a leg kick that knocks Scarn off balance momentarily.
Scarn throws a one two combo.
Harris lands a jab to the nose.

Scarn instigates a clinch.
Harris misses with a hook from the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Scarn has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Harris throws a punch but it's blocked by Scarn.
Scarn blocking some punches.

Harris lands a hook to the side of the head.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Scarn.

Scarn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scarn misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harris avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Scarn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Scarn swings for the body but Harris moves out of range.

Scarn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Scarn throws a shot from downtown. Harris moves away and avoids it.

Harris is rocked!

Harris gets tackled into the cage by Scarn. Scarn maintains the clinch.

Clinched against the cage, Scarn lands a big elbow that drops Harris! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Harris is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
