Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Sherridan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sherridan's choice of entrance music: Many Men - 50 Cent. Buck Sherridan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Sherridan both land. Nice combination.
Sherridan takes the fight into the clinch.
Sherridan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
French is working an open guard so Sherridan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sherridan darts in looking for a takedown but French gets double underhooks and turns Sherridan into the cage.
Sherridan has a takedown stuffed.
A quick step to the side and French tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sherridan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from French.

Sherridan shoots in but French avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carlos French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buck Sherridan.
French tries a head kick but it misses.

French closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sherridan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

French lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Sherridan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sherridan wants to work for an arm triangle but French is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
French gets back to full guard.

French is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sherridan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sherridan is standing up over French. French looks to escape but Sherridan dives into side control.
French is not content to let Sherridan control the position.
Sherridan passes to full mount! That's big trouble for French!

Sherridan looking to isolate an arm here. French doesn't see it coming and as Sherridan extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Sherridan!

Buck Sherridan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
