PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JD Wildstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arshnoor Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wildstein comes to the cage accompanied by Bring It On. Singh has chosen 2Pac - Hit 'Em Up as his entrance music. Arshnoor Singh told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 19 - 4, fighting out of Montreal, JD Wildstein!

With a record of 47 - 23 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Arshnoor Singh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That was a close second round but I would say that JD Wildstein will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Wildstein shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Singh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wildstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Singh lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wildstein has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wildstein and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wildstein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Singh's guard.

JD Wildstein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wildstein throws an elbow that misses. Singh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wildstein's guard. Nice move by Singh!

Wildstein is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Singh wants to control from the top but Wildstein keeps moving.
