Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Vos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Basic Element - Rage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Vos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Cage!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vos closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cage's guard.
Cage is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vos trying to control but Cage is working from the bottom.

Vos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vos won't allow Cage to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vos controls from within his opponent's guard.
Vos postures up and lands a big shot to Cage's brow.
Cage wants to stand but Vos is controlling the position.

Cage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vos is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnny Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cage tries to clinch up

and Vos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vos.
Cage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vos wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.
Cage wants to stand but Vos is controlling the position.

Vos looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vos advances to half guard.
Vos is trying to control the action in half guard but Cage is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vos passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cage!

Vos is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cage has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cage wants to try and get back to his feet.
Vos landing punches.

Vos has hold of Cage's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cage manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cage squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Vos working the ground and pound effectively.

Cage bucks Vos off and manages to get back to his feet!
Cage doesn't manage to clinch there - Vos circles away.
Cage tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Vos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Vos advances to half guard.
Cage is trying to stand.
Vos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cage keeps working.

Vos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cage doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vos.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cage on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cage tries to close the distance and clinch but Vos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vos dives in and grabs Cage's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cage pushes down on Vos's head and hops out.

Johnny Cage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cage throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As Cage looks to move away, Vos throws a big counter combo but Cage just gets out of the way.

Cage moves into range and clinches up with Vos.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vos lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cage backwards.
Vos blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cage throws a punch but it's blocked by Vos.
Cage lands with a right to the head.

Vos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cage can do to turn this around?

Vos tries to score a body lock takedown but Cage shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Vos jumps guard but Cage stands there with Vos around his waist. Vos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cage uses from the top position.
Cage wants to stand but Vos has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vos is on top in guard.

Vos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Vos postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vos is stalling in the full guard.
Vos slips nicely into half guard.
Vos is pressing down on Cage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cage is holding on for now.

Vos is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Cage still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Cage has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Johnny Cage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Vos has his foot on Cage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cage works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vos is working for a kimura but Cage is defending it quite comfortably.

I think Cage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
