Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Mendes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mendes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mendes lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mendes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee is looking for a counter combo.
Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Mendes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mendes gets caught flat footed, as Lee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lee stays in close to Mendes's body and controls the position.
Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mendes for as long as he can get away with.
Mendes is looking to stand back up but Lee counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mendes.
Lee drops an elbow to the side of Mendes's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lee is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mendes sees it coming and defends easily.
Mendes has hold of Lee's hands but Lee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mendes is just riding it out for now. Lee eventually gives up the hold.
