And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Nilsen!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nilsen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nilsen throws a head kick but Nakamura moves out of range.
Nakamura appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Nilsen misses the shot to the body.
Nakamura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nilsen throws a jab when Nakamura was well out of range.
Nilsen misses with a two punch combination.
Nilsen throws a combination that misses
and Nakamura counters with a left to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nilsen.

It looked like Nakamura wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Nakamura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nilsen.
Nilsen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nakamura slips a jab and a cross from Nilsen.
Nakamura misses with a looping right.
Nilsen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nakamura's head.


It looks like Shinya Nakamura has been cut.
Nakamura throws a hook but Nilsen avoids it easily.
Nice defenses there by Nakamura.

It looks like Dennis Nilsen has been cut.

Nilsen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nakamura takes a swing at Nilsen's ribcage but misses.
Nakamura misses with a looping left.
Nilsen looks to land a combination but Nakamura avoids it well.
Nakamura looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nilsen throws a chopping leg kick but Nakamura manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A swing and a miss from Nakamura.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Donk. Nilsen catches Nakamura right on the button with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nilsen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nakamura moves out of range of the leg kick from Nilsen.
The fighters circling - Nilsen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nilsen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nilsen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nakamura cracks Nilsen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nakamura throws a right hand that misses

and Nilsen moves into the clinch.
Nilsen trying to land knees to the body.
Nilsen pushes Nakamura back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Nilsen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nakamura loads up on a big right hand but Nilsen slips the punch.
Nilsen tries to counter with a clinch but Nakamura shakes him off and moves away.

Nilsen lands a left and a right that send Nakamura crashing to the mat, dazed. Nilsen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Nakamura is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nakamura takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nilsen throws a nice looking combination but Nakamura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nilsen closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Nakamura! Nilsen dives in looking to finish! Nakamura is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dennis Nilsen!
During a confident post fight interview, Dennis Nilsen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
