The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ironfist lands a left and a right that send Gomez crashing to the mat, dazed. Ironfist thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ironfist tries for a takedown but Gomez circles away easily
and Gomez counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Gomez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Ironfist. Those never looked like landing.
Gomez seems to have got his legs back now.
Ironfist tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gomez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Ironfist misses with a double jab.
Ironfist lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gomez circles away quickly and effectively.

Ironfist gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ironfist working a defensive guard but Gomez manages to pass into side control anyway.
Gomez lands a nice forearm strike.
Ironfist struggling a bit here.

Gomez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ironfist knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gomez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ironfist has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gomez but great work by Ironfist.

Gomez parries the strikes from Ironfist easily there. Ironfist is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gomez to escape.

Ironfist is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gomez is trying to escape and Ironfist transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gomez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ironfist! Very nice indeed!
