PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kruger Vance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman comes to the cage accompanied by Old Firm Casuals - Better start running. Vance comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nate Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kruger Vance!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Freeman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A combination from Vance does no damage.

Vance fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Freeman, pushing him back against the cage.
Vance cracks Freeman with a nice body shot.
Freeman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Vance gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Nate Freeman has been cut.
Vance lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Vance lands a hook to the side of the head.
Vance works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Vance lands with a right to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A right hand to the body from Vance.
Vance lands a body punch.
Vance is working Freeman over against the cage.
Vance lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Freeman backwards.

Freeman is rocked!
Freeman takes an elbow to the temple.
Oh Freeman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vance creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Freeman's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Freeman drops to his knees and Vance pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kruger Vance!
A less than humble Kruger Vance misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Nate Freeman stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm glad the belt went to a fellow LOD member, unfortunately it wasn't me tonight. Sorry to disappoint my fans!'.
