Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herman Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Ritchie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Ritchie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Herman Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Ritchie!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hardy enables Ritchie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hardy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritchie is working Hardy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hardy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ritchie wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ritchie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ritchie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ritchie throws a big right hand that misses.
Ritchie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ritchie working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Ritchie gets to his feet and stands over Hardy, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hardy felt that one! Ritchie unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hardy from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Ritchie!
A less than humble James Ritchie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
