Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sergeant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sergeant manages to avoid it.

Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sergeant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sergeant is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sergeant shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Sergeant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It looked like Silva wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Sergeant shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Sergeant finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Silva has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Sergeant is on him like a limpet, forcing Silva back against the cage.

Sergeant displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
Sergeant tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sergeant bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sergeant takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sloppy strikes from Sergeant. Those never looked like landing.
Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sergeant.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva throws a chopping leg kick but Sergeant manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Silva works Sergeant's body with a nice hook.

Silva is looking for a counter combo.
Sergeant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sergeant off to one side.
Silva scores with a one two! Sergeant had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sergeant fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sergeant changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Sergeant dives in and scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sergeant can do to turn this around?

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sergeant gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sergeant must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sergeant's guard.

Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sergeant with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sergeant!
