Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater thuds a left hand into Quinn's body.
Slater goes for a double leg but Quinn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Quinn continues to drive forward.
Quinn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slater pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Slater misses with a jab, cross combination.
Quinn takes a jab right on the kisser.
Slater tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quinn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slater looks to score with a jab to the body but Quinn is just out of range.
Quinn is looking to counter punch.
Quinn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Slater.
Slater looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Slater throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Quinn was covering up waiting for the punch and Slater finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Quinn is controlling Slater's posture.
Slater won't allow Quinn to sweep him here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slater tries to free his leg and advance position but Quinn is retaining full guard.

Quinn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slater moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Quinn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Slater tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Slater is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Slater takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Anibal Quinn will probably get the nod.

Quinn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Slater after a bit of a struggle.

Slater gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Quinn regains guard.
Slater loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Slater wants to control from the top but Quinn keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anibal Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heath Slater.

Quinn turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Quinn manages to end up in side control.
Slater is looking to get back to his feet here but Quinn is keeping cool and he's managed to take Slater's back.

Quinn has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Slater has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Quinn has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Slater! Can he survive? No! He's out! Quinn gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
