Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tomas Baltrenas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Stuart!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stuart scores with a decent looking hook.
Baltrenas throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stuart throws a shot to the body.
Baltrenas tries for a takedown but Stuart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Stuart was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Baltrenas instigates a clinch.
Baltrenas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stuart just stands there and leans against the cage.
Stuart looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Stuart presses Baltrenas against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Stuart tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Baltrenas's elbow.
Baltrenas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomas Baltrenas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baltrenas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Baltrenas pulls guard.
Stuart throwing strikes from guard but Baltrenas blocks nicely.
Stuart stands up over Baltrenas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Stuart pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Baltrenas is keeping the position for now.
Stuart throws a big right hand that misses.
Stuart is looking to work some ground and pound but Baltrenas has wrist control.
Baltrenas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stuart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baltrenas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Baltrenas is breathing heavily.

Baltrenas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stuart in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Baltrenas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stuart working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Baltrenas's head.
Stuart tries to free his leg and advance position but Baltrenas is retaining full guard.
Stuart throws a big elbow that misses.
Stuart wants to get up but he can't break Baltrenas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Baltrenas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stuart.
Stuart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stuart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stuart throws an elbow that misses. Baltrenas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stuart's guard. Nice move by Baltrenas!

Baltrenas is standing up over Stuart. Stuart looks to escape but Baltrenas dives into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stuart can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stuart is trying to get back to half guard.
Stuart wants to get back to his feet.
Stuart is trying to strike from the bottom but Baltrenas has passed into full mount.
Stuart's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Stuart is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Baltrenas turns him over and now has his back.
Stuart is trying to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Stuart's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Stuart trying to get back to his feet but Baltrenas is in full control for now.
Baltrenas tries to keep control of the position but Stuart is staying busy.
Stuart is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Even with his hooks in, Baltrenas manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Baltrenas trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Stuart wants to get back to his feet.
Stuart covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Stuart wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stuart staying busy and making it hard for Baltrenas to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomas Baltrenas dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Baltrenas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Stuart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stuart wants it to stay on the feet.
Baltrenas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Baltrenas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stuart sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Baltrenas somewhat.
Jon Stuart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baltrenas slips a jab and a cross from Stuart.
Stuart throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Baltrenas colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Stuart as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Baltrenas is left battered and dazed whilst Stuart and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Stuart!
