The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BK misses with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that BK has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
BK chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shifter can pounce on him.
BK throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shifter.
And Shifter counters with a quick kick to the body but BK blocks it.
Shifter tries to score a power double leg takedown but BK sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shifter somewhat.
BK throws a hook but Shifter blocks it.
Shifter looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
BK lands a slapping body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BK connects with a crisp jab.
Shifter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from BK.
Shifter throws a counter high kick but BK was just alert enough to avoid it.

Shifter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Benjamin BK seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BK throws a half hearted mid kick.
BK throws a leg kick but Shifter moved away.
Shifter tries to clinch up.
Shifter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but BK swivels and escapes.

Shifter is looking to take this one to the mat.

BK makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Shifter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. BK smiles and moves away.
BK scores with a jab. Shifter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
BK throws a leg kick that is checked
and Shifter counters with an outside leg kick.
Shifter defending well as BK loads up on a big left hand.
BK misses with a leg kick.
Shifter attempts a counter takedown but BK avoids it well and moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Benjamin BK is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shifter moves out of range as BK throws a body kick.
BK tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

BK throws a leg kick which misses Shifter's front leg but catches the back leg as Shifter tries to avoid it.

BK misses with a wild body shot.
Shifter was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Shifter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Shifter is working for a kimura but BK is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BK gets full guard.
Shifter is pushing down on BK's leg trying to pass to half guard. BK is fighting to maintain full guard but Shifter has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BK is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shifter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shifter's back!
Shifter is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin BK dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shifter throws a nice outside leg kick.
BK throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shifter tries to clinch but BK moves out of range.
BK looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A low kick from Shifter is predictable there

so BK counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
BK scoring with some ground and pound.
BK is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
BK is in close to Shifter's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Shifter has his feet on BK's thighs here. He's pushed BK off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! BK screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
