The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from De Silva misses.
Shankoli throws out a counter right but De Silva avoids it with no problem.
De Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
De Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shankoli sees it coming and avoids it easily.
De Silva looks to throw the jab but Shankoli is out of range.
Shankoli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but De Silva moves away.
Shankoli throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
De Silva misses with a straight left.

De Silva throws a body punch but Shankoli moves out of range.

De Silva lands a jab to Shankoli's midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shankoli throws a leg kick which misses De Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as De Silva tries to avoid it.
De Silva tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Junior De Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Silva thows a left - swing and a miss!
Shankoli let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Shankoli throws a series of strikes that have De Silva backpedaling.
De Silva takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
De Silva walks into a jab.
Shankoli connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends De Silva to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Shankoli!
