The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vatanen throws out a powerful jab.
Jackson missing with a left hand there. Vatanen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jackson throws a right hand that Vatanen ducks under and follows up with a left that Vatanen also avoids with ease.
Jackson misses with a head kick.
Vatanen misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.
Vatanen throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Vatanen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Vatanen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Vatanen throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.

Vatanen ducks right into an uppercut from Jackson.

Jackson scores with a one two! Vatanen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson throws a jab when Vatanen was well out of range.
Jackson lands a head kick. Vatanen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vatanen.
Vatanen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jackson doesn't seem bothered though.
Vatanen misses with a hook.
We've been informed that Jackson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jackson jabs at Vatanen's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson throws a head kick that half lands.
Sami Vatanen's cut is getting worse.
Vatanen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Vatanen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jackson swings for the body but Vatanen moves out of range.
Jackson blocks a jab.

Vatanen throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it.
Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Vatanen. Vatanen maintains the clinch.
Vatanen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vatanen throws a lazy uppercut
and Jackson counters with a right hand that sends Vatanen tumbling to the canvas! Can Jackson finish him? He dives into Vatanen's guard looking to do just that!
Vatanen is rocked!
Sami Vatanen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Vatanen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jackson dives into side control.
Oh Vatanen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vatanen is trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Vatanen looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Jackson turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Rory Jackson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
