Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Hillman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Longly Unit!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hillman scores with a jab to the body.
Unit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hillman manages to avoid it.
As Unit looks to move away, Hillman throws a big counter combo but Unit just gets out of the way.
Unit has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hillman finds it's way round the side to connect with Unit's head.
Hillman tries to bum rush Unit with a series of wild strikes but Unit uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hillman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Unit.
Unit changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hillman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hillman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Unit tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hillman enables Unit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hillman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Unit stops Hillman from standing up.
Unit trying to control but Hillman is working from the bottom.
Hillman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Unit dives into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hillman regains half guard there - taking advantage of Unit's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Unit is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hillman pushes Unit off looking to stand but Unit dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Unit is looking to take a break and control but Hillman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Unit might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hillman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Unit has his foot on Hillman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hillman works his way back into a safe position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Unit throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hillman escapes and throws Unit's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Unit goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hillman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Unit but great work by Hillman.

Unit is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Hillman still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Hillman has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
