PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macho Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Stiffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiffy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The taco dance. Taco Stiffy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Taco Stiffy!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiffy thows a left - swing and a miss!
Man's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stiffy under the eye.
Stiffy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Man was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Stiffy.
Stiffy throws an overhand right that lands on Man's shoulder, as Man tries to avoid the shot.

Man closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stiffy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Stiffy misses with a hook from the clinch.
Stiffy misses with a short punch on the inside.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stiffy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Man creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stiffy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Man to keep the fight standing.

Stiffy is trying to drag Man to the mat but Man just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Man lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stiffy backwards.
Man digs a right hand into Stiffy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Stiffy's gas tank.

Man gets through Stiffy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.


It looks like Taco Stiffy has been cut.
Man lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Stiffy.

Stiffy tries to pull guard but Man forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Macho Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Stiffy.

Stiffy keeps control of Man as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Man looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Man blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Stiffy tries to pull guard but Man forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Man makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Man lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Man pushes Stiffy back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Man stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Man wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Man scores with a nice hook to the head.

Man digs a right hand underneath Stiffy's ribcage. Stiffy let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Man lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Stiffy.

Man lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Man lands with a left to the head.
Stiffy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Man works on Stiffy's body with a couple of short punches.

Man drops Stiffy onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Stiffy is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Stiffy is rocked!
Man lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Stiffy to his knees! Man keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Macho Man!
Macho Man retains his super heavyweight title!
Our winner, Macho Man, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Taco Stiffy was interviewed post fight and said 'Taco not win but SNIFFY still KNOWS HOES ! '.
