Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Galdra Kiddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galdra Kiddi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Underwood!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiddi tries to land a front kick but Underwood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kiddi avoids the body shot from Underwood.

Kiddi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kiddi wants to work for an arm triangle but Underwood is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kiddi is looking for a kimura here.
Kiddi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Underwood with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Underwood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kiddi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kiddi's back!
Kiddi is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

I've been told that Underwood has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Let's hope that Underwood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Underwood is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kiddi wants to control his opponent's hands but Underwood gets his hands free.
Underwood has the hooks in. Kiddi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Underwood wants to free his trapped foot but Kiddi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Underwood is trying to control. Kiddi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Underwood is keen to just control but Kiddi is a slippery customer.

Kiddi is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kiddi wants to sweep but Underwood has passed to side control!
Underwood remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kiddi tries to bench press Underwood off him but Underwood keeps the position.
Underwood content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Underwood is looking to take a break and control but Kiddi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kiddi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Underwood checks it well.
Kiddi misses with a wild body shot.
Kiddi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kiddi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kiddi darts in looking for a takedown but Underwood gets double underhooks and turns Kiddi into the cage.
Underwood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kiddi was well out of range. Poor timing from Underwood.
A bone on bone clash there as Underwood blocks the leg kick.
Underwood throws a low kick, looking for Kiddi's leg but Kiddi calmly moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Underwood darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A jab lands there for Underwood.
Underwood moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Kiddi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Underwood napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kiddi lands a few punches from side control.
Underwood is trying to control Kiddi's posture but Kiddi avoids it.
Kiddi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Underwood keeps working.

Underwood manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Kiddi tries to get to full guard but Underwood has control of the leg.
Underwood is keen to just control but Kiddi is a slippery customer.

Kiddi is looking to sweep but instead, Underwood has passed into half guard.

Kiddi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kiddi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Underwood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kiddi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Underwood wants to control from the top but Kiddi keeps moving.
Underwood slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kiddi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Underwood is aware though and is defending well.
Kiddi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Underwood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kiddi moves out of range of the leg kick from Underwood.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kiddi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Underwood feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kiddi's calf.
Kiddi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Underwood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kiddi manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Frank Underwood will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Kiddi is looking to clinch.
Underwood tries a quick counter leg kick but Kiddi is wise to it.
Underwood connects with a solid leg kick.
Underwood cracks the inside of Kiddi's front leg.
Underwood misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kiddi.
Underwood lands with a right hand.
Frank Underwood seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kiddi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Underwood's guard.
Kiddi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Underwood's head.

Kiddi is looking to work some ground and pound but Underwood has wrist control.

Kiddi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Underwood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Galdra Kiddi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Frank Underwood is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kiddi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Underwood manages to avoid it.

Underwood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Underwood lands a leg kick that knocks Kiddi off balance momentarily.
Underwood lands a slapping body shot.
Underwood walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kiddi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Frank Underwood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Underwood takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Underwood ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Underwood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kiddi misses with an uppercut. Underwood saw that one coming.
A nice side step and Underwood releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Underwood lands a slapping body shot.
Kiddi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Underwood fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kiddi is out of range.
Kiddi staying out of range there.
Kiddi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Underwood only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Underwood ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A slapping leg kick lands for Underwood.
Underwood feints and then cracks Kiddi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kiddi down.
Underwood throws a leg kick which misses Kiddi's front leg but catches the back leg as Kiddi tries to avoid it.
Kiddi looks to land a right hand but Underwood moved out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Underwood. Kiddi shrugs it off though.
Underwood throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kiddi scores with a jab. Underwood acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Underwood counters with a good low kick that Kiddi was not able to check.

No joy there for Kiddi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kiddi throws a hook but Underwood avoids it easily.
Underwood lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kiddi's sensitive parts.
Underwood throws a good cross that connects.
Kiddi takes one to the chin there.
Underwood looks to score with a jab to the body but Kiddi is just out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank Underwood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Underwood winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
