PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tsar Bomba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Afa Sila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tsar Bomba has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tsar Bomba seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomba throws a combination. Sila tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Sila with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bomba to score with a decent uppercut.

Bomba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bomba connects with a leg kick. Sila looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Bomba ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Bomba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sila cracks Bomba with an open hand slap.

Sila swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Sila looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sila takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sila looks to land a right hand but Bomba moved out of range.
It looks like Bomba has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Bomba is looking to slow Sila down with leg kicks.
Sila lands a slapping body shot.
Bomba looks to land a left hand but Sila moved out of range nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bomba, as that shot connected.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sila throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bomba.

Sila shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bomba as he avoids it easily.

Tsar Bomba is winning the standup battle so far.
Sila on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sila throws a lazy right hand but Bomba sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bomba is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sila can do to turn this around?
Bomba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bomba lands with a straight right. Sila didn't see that one coming.

Bomba clobbers Sila with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bomba closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Sila! Bomba dives in looking to finish! Sila is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
