Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perseen Suti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 24 - 2, fighting out of London, Perseen Suti!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Koski misses its intended target.
Suti shoots in looking for a takedown but Koski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Suti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Suti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Suti connects with a body shot.
Suti throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Koski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Suti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A big left from Koski misses.
Suti staying out of range there.
Koski throws a body shot but no joy.
Koski throws a big shot that misses.
Suti is looking to land body kicks.
Suti throws a leg kick which misses Koski's front leg but catches the back leg as Koski tries to avoid it.

Perseen Suti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Suti looks for a takedown but Koski sprawls well.

Koski lets loose with a powerful body kick. Suti will feel that in the morning.
Suti lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Suti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from Koski. Those never looked like landing.
Suti throws a leg kick but Koski moved away.

Suti closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Suti scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Koski to see if he's OK.

Juan Koski's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koski is looking to improve his position but Suti isn't that keen on the idea.
Koski seems to have got his legs back now.
Suti is landing with some decent strikes but Koski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Koski sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Koski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Suti's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Suti's back!

Koski is looking to control Suti but Suti is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Koski looking to break Suti's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Suti remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Koski will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Suti grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Koski is trying to stick to Suti's back but Suti is turning into Koski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Koski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Suti.

Koski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Suti manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Koski throws a shot from downtown. Suti moves away and avoids it.
Koski ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Suti throws a leg kick that misses.
Koski checks a low kick from Suti.
Koski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Koski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Koski wants it to stay on the feet.
Koski scores with a sloppy right hand. Suti should have avoided that one.
Suti tries to bum rush Koski with a series of wild strikes but Koski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Koski pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Suti back to the cage. Koski follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Perseen Suti has been cut.
Suti throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Koski dodges the punch combination from Suti.
Koski tries to counter with a takedown but Suti is quick to defend against it.

Suti shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Koski is trying to control. Suti wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Suti is holding on to half guard well.
Koski is looking to take a break and control but Suti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Koski tries to pass the half guard into mount. Suti knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Koski just misses with a punch to the body.
Suti misses with a few strikes there.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Suti has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Suti and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Suti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Suti throws out a leg kick but Koski moves out of range and Suti only half commits.
Koski tries to counter with a takedown but Suti is quick to defend against it.

Suti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koski swivels and escapes.

Koski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Suti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Koski cracks a nice hook into Suti's ribs.
Koski throws a right hand that Suti ducks under and follows up with a left that Suti also avoids with ease.

Koski lands with a thumping leg kick.
Koski explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

and Koski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Suti won't be happy with that.

Koski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Suti knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Koski wants to control but Suti is keeping him busy.

Suti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Koski thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Koski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Suti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koski.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Suti is still trying to improve position.

Well Koski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
