PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ein Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Idea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Idea has chosen Boss of All Bosses as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Stein 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A jab from Idea misses.
Stein was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nice straight punches there by Stein. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Stein.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stein or perhaps it was just good defense by Idea, which made it look bad.
Idea throws a shot to the body.
Idea will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Idea bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stein's head backwards.
Stein shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Idea as he jumps to the side.
Idea throws out a counter right but Stein avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Idea throws a looping overhand right but Stein ducks down to avoid it.
Stein ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Idea misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stein shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Idea as he avoids it easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stein connects with a nice short shot to Idea's temple.

Stein drops down looking for a counter takedown but Idea sprawls and moves away.
Stein avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Idea moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A little jabbing left from Idea on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Stein sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Idea throws a hook to the side of Stein's head but Stein sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Idea connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Stein sizes up Idea with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Idea takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stein dives in and grabs Idea's left leg, looking for a takedown. Idea pushes down on Stein's head and hops out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stein throws a hook but Idea avoids it easily.
Idea swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A head kick misses from Idea.
Idea looks to score with a jab to the body but Stein is just out of range.
Idea missing with a left hand there. Stein was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

After the fight, Ein Stein was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
