Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavlo Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Joe Ryan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joe Ryan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Boyko counters with a shoot takedown. Ryan fights it but they end up in guard.
Boyko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyko is trying to keep Ryan in close.
Boyko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ryan stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Boyko has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Ryan manages to get his head free but now Boyko has transitioned to an armbar! Ryan grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Boyko! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
