Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flying Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes into the arena with Baka Survivor blaring out of the sound system. Aoki Aoki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Aoki Aoki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Flying Flynn's chin.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki misses with an uppercut. Flynn saw that one coming.
Flynn follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Aoki misses with a takedown attempt - Flynn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Aoki tries for a takedown but Flynn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Flynn let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Flynn moves in looking to clinch but Aoki pushes him off.

and Flynn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Aoki throws a lazy right hand but Flynn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Aoki clinches with his opponent.
Aoki on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Flynn tries to pull guard but Aoki won't allow it.
Aoki goes for a takedown in the clinch but Flynn prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aoki Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch on the inside from Aoki fails to land.
Flynn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Aoki walks away with a smile on his face. Flynn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Aoki Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki throws a hook but Flynn avoids it easily.
And Flynn tries to counter it with a takedown but Aoki pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Flynn shoots for a double leg takedown but Aoki sprawls well. He's pushed Flynn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Flynn throws a head kick but Aoki moves out of range.
As Flynn tries to get set, Aoki tries to push him back and clinch up but Flynn manages to avoid the attempt.
Flynn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aoki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Flynn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Aoki wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Aoki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flynn tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flynn to the ground. Flynn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flynn doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aoki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Aoki.
Aoki drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aoki swings wildly with an uppercut but Flynn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aoki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Flynn is defending well. Aoki quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Flynn has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Aoki celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aoki Aoki!
An out of breath Aoki Aoki thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
