Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes has chosen I got 5 on it by Luniz as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mclean shoots in but no luck this time.
Hayes scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Donnell Mclean has been cut.
Mclean shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hayes pinned against the cage. Hayes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mclean really is a fat lump.
Mclean fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnell Mclean. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hayes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hayes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hayes lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mclean takes a step back to recover.

Hayes darts in and clinches Mclean up against the cage.
Mclean tries to pull guard but Hayes won't allow it.

Hayes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hayes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A combination from Hayes does no damage.
Mclean appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Hayes lands with an uppercut that bounces Mclean off the cage and back into range.
Hayes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mclean has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hayes throws a nice inside leg kick.

Hayes lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hayes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hayes throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mclean is breathing heavily.
Mclean on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Hayes moves into the clinch successfully.
Knees in the clinch landing for Hayes.

Hayes breaks the clinch.
Hayes connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mclean tumbling to the canvas! Hayes pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mclean was done - good stoppage!
