PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Victor Stoic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafal Jackiewicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Stoic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafal Jackiewicz!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackiewicz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stoic.
Stoic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackiewicz avoids it really well and circles away.
Stoic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jackiewicz leaves Stoic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A jab lands there for Jackiewicz.
The fighters circling - Jackiewicz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jackiewicz is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Stoic off. It looks like it's working - Stoic slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Jackiewicz displaying calm under pressure there.

Stoic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackiewicz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stoic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackiewicz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Stoic is keen to just control but Jackiewicz is a slippery customer.
Stoic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackiewicz can do to turn this around?
Stoic is nestled in close to Jackiewicz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jackiewicz throws a nice looking combination but Stoic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A punch lands to the side of Stoic 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Jackiewicz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Stoic if he has to take too many more of those.

Rafal Jackiewicz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stoic dives in for a single leg takedown but Jackiewicz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jackiewicz gets in close and tags Stoic with a short punch that almost sends Stoic to the mat! Oh Stoic is in big trouble! He turns his back on Jackiewicz, trying to create some distance but Jackiewicz rushes him, striking wildly and Stoic goes down! The referee tackles Jackiewicz into the cage to end the fight! Jackiewicz is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafal Jackiewicz!
