Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Qasem Soleimani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hudson Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Qasem Soleimani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hudson Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira throws a hook but Soleimani avoids it easily.
A leg kick checked by Oliveira.
Soleimani scores with a leg kick.
Soleimani throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
An inside leg kick lands from Soleimani.
Oliveira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It appears Soleimani was looking to counter with a kick there.
Soleimani attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Soleimani.
Soleimani throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Oliveira tries for a takedown but Soleimani sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Soleimani fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Oliveira.
Qasem Soleimani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soleimani tries to keep at a distance but Oliveira has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oliveira tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Soleimani smiles and moves away.
Soleimani throws a quick inside leg kick.
Soleimani stuffs the takedown.
Qasem Soleimani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hudson Oliveira.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Soleimani fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Oliveira has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Soleimani enables Oliveira to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Soleimani manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Oliveira seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Oliveira's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Oliveira passes Soleimani's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oliveira lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Oliveira seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soleimani is in trouble now - Oliveira has advanced to mount!
Oliveira scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Soleimani?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oliveira fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Oliveira working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Soleimani turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Oliveira off and cradles Soleimani's limp body as Oliveira celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Hudson Oliveira!
