Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carey Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silva Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Sandstorm by Darude as his entrance music. Silva Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Silva Anderson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke throws a leg kick

and Anderson moves into the clinch.
Duke prevents a takedown attempt there.
Duke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anderson prevents the takedown attempt.
Anderson is pushing Duke up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Duke is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Anderson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Carey Duke has been cut.
Duke jumps guard but Anderson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Duke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Duke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Anderson drives through and clinches with Duke against the cage.
Duke fails to pull guard.
Duke is breathing heavily.

Anderson breaks the clinch.

Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.
Duke takes a knee to the side of the body.
Anderson digs a right hand into Duke's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Duke's gas tank.

Anderson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Anderson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Duke controls his leg.
Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duke keeps working.

Anderson is working for a kimura but Duke is defending it quite comfortably.
Duke is trying to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duke is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Anderson decides to stand and escape the position.

Anderson feints and as Duke raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Anderson wants to get up but he can't break Duke's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Anderson stops Duke from standing up.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Duke's legs - danger averted.
Duke is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Anderson dives into side control.
Duke wants to control but Anderson postures up.

Anderson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Anderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson showed some decent athleticism there.

Anderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Duke has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Duke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Duke off to one side.

Anderson moves into the clinch.

Duke tries for a takedown but Anderson manages to get underhooks.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Duke, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva Anderson seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Anderson pulls Duke into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Anderson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Duke is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Anderson.
Anderson can't do much from the bottom here.
Duke is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Duke creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Anderson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Anderson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Duke presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Duke's attempts to control the action.
Silva Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Anderson tries to hold on but Duke pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Duke sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Anderson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
I really don't envy Anderson right now.
Good control from Duke.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Duke stands up over Anderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Anderson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Duke has picked Anderson up and slammed him! Anderson can't keep hold of the triangle and Duke manages to pass to side control!

Duke keeps control of the position easily here as Anderson tries to buck him off.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Duke is persistently looking for the submission but Anderson is defending it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anderson can't escape the position.

Carey Duke showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
