Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Randleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Country Boy - Aaron Lewis as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quinton Randleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubba Smith!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws out a loose jab but Randleman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Randleman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randleman moves away.
Randleman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Randleman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Randleman.
Smith jabs at Randleman's body.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Randleman moved out of range.
Randleman gets the takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here.
Smith takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Randleman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Smith is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Randleman wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
An elbow from Randleman crashes against the mat.
Randleman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Smith managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Randleman.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Smith is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Randleman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Randleman grinds an elbow into Smith's temple.
Randleman trying to control the action but Smith is working from the bottom.
Randleman cracks Smith with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Smith is rocked!
Randleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Randleman scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Smith is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Randleman can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinton Randleman!
An out of breath Quinton Randleman thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Bubba Smith stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tough one to swallow but it's all good we take losses like a fuckin man around here, I'll be in gym tomorrow preparing to get better for my next fight. '.
