Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuuto Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshida comes to the cage accompanied by Blue Oyster Cult Godzilla . Karlsson has chosen Nemesis by Arch Enemy as his entrance music. Karl Karlsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Karlsson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A slow jab from Yoshida misses its intended target.
A telegraphed right hand from Yoshida misses the target.
Yoshida scores with a nice right hand.
Karlsson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Yoshida moves in looking to clinch but Karlsson pushes him off.

and Yoshida counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Karlsson thinking.

Yoshida wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yoshida dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Karlsson. That did some damage!

and Karlsson counters with a left to the body.
Yoshida fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Karlsson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Karlsson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Yoshida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Karlsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yoshida lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Karlsson blocks a head kick by Yoshida.
Karlsson throws a lazy right hand but Yoshida sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Karlsson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Yoshida wants to clinch but Karlsson slips to the side
and Karlsson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Yoshida is rocked!
Karlsson fakes the body blow, causing Yoshida to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Yoshida goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Karl Karlsson!
A less than humble Karl Karlsson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
