The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Roman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Smith gets tackled into the cage by Roman. Roman maintains the clinch.

Roman is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Roman is posturing up here but Smith has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Roman tries to roll out but it's too tight and Roman has to tap! Slick submission there by Smith!
