Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Garfunkel!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garfunkel moves away from the strike by Wallace.
Wallace swings for the body but Garfunkel moves out of range.
Wallace misses with an uppercut.
Wallace connects with the punch.
Good work by Garfunkel as he checks the leg kick.
Wallace has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight.
Frank Garfunkel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garfunkel moves out of range of the body kick from Wallace.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Garfunkel, right into the meat.
Wallace throws a big shot that misses.

Garfunkel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garfunkel lands in his opponent's guard.

Garfunkel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wallace wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Garfunkel is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wallace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Garfunkel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Garfunkel is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wallace manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garfunkel manages to get himself to full guard.

Wallace is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wallace lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garfunkel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between Garfunkel's legs - danger averted.

Wallace postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Garfunkel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Garfunkel is looking to regain half guard here but Wallace keeps moving and retains side control.

Garfunkel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wallace wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Garfunkel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallace's best efforts.

Garfunkel has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Wallace has passed into side control.

Wallace wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garfunkel keeps working.
Garfunkel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Garfunkel in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wallace tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Garfunkel!
