Madness comes to the cage accompanied by "Last One Standing". We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Madness to the ground. Daniels is now in Madness's guard.
Daniels throws a big elbow that misses.
Daniels throwing strikes from guard but Madness blocks nicely.
Daniels trying to control the position from guard on top but Madness is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Daniels throws an elbow that misses. Madness uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Daniels's guard. Nice move by Madness!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Madness stopping the sweep attempt from Daniels.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniels preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Daniels keeping moving, preventing Madness from controlling successfully.
Daniels wants to sweep here but Madness controlling him for the moment.

Daniels is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Madness trying to control but Daniels is working from the bottom.
Daniels throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Madness wants to control from the top but Daniels keeps moving.

Daniels has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Madness is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Daniels.
Daniels looks frustrated here - throwing a couple of shots from the bottom though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Daniels is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Daniels regains half guard.
Daniels regains full guard. Nicely done.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daniels can do anything to dispel that myth.
Daniels throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Daniels manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Madness manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daniels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Daniels's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Daniels stands up from Madness's guard - Daniels perhaps looking for a knockout.
Madness tries to close the distance and clinch but Daniels swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Madness moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromDaniels.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Daniels looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Madness taking some punishment here, with Daniels in his half guard.
Daniels has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Madness working to try and regain half guard.
Madness in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Madness is breathing heavily.
Madness takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Madness is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Madness in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daniels lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daniels is landing with some decent strikes but Madness is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.


Madness is rocked!
Daniels drops a big elbow. That's hurt Madness! More shots from Daniels and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Daniels!
