Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki has chosen Baka Survivor as his entrance music. The key to victory for Brandon Long has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki misses with an uppercut. Long saw that one coming.
Aoki Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki throws a left and a right that both miss
and Long counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Aoki doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Long counters with a straight right hand.
Long fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Long uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aoki.
Long tries to clinch up but Aoki circles away and keeps his distance.
Long is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Long wants to clinch but Aoki slips to the side

and Aoki counters with a single leg into guard. Long didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aoki content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Aoki stands up and waves to Long to follow him.
A big right from Aoki misses.
Aoki circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aoki throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Long displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aoki throws out the jab.

Long gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aoki's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Aoki passes Long's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Aoki controlling the pace.
Aoki is pressing down on Long's thigh, looking to free his foot. Long is holding on for now.
Aoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Aoki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Long doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aoki.
Long knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aoki on the ground.
Aoki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Aoki seems to be working for a kimura but Long defends the submission attempt.
Aoki slips a nice elbow through Long's hands, connecting with Long's forehead.

Aoki in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Long tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Aoki!
