Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smurf with a lazy takedown attempt
and Carpenter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Smurf tries for a takedown but Carpenter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Smurf or perhaps it was just good defense by Carpenter, which made it look bad.
Bryce Carpenter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Papa Smurf.
Nice takedown defense from Carpenter. No joy for Smurf on that attempt.
Carpenter shoots for a takedown but Smurf saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Smurf tries to clinch but Carpenter is having none of it.

Smurf fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carpenter, pushing him back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smurf is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carpenter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Carpenter lands with a right to the head.
Smurf fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Carpenter obliges.
Carpenter lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Smurf or not.

Carpenter is trying to trip Smurf. He has hold of a leg but Smurf is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carpenter persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Carpenter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Carpenter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carpenter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carpenter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smurf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carpenter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carpenter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Carpenter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Carpenter lands a couple of digs.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carpenter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Carpenter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carpenter drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Carpenter seems to have locked his on tight now - Smurf screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Carpenter, as he picks up the win!
