Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Filiberto Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Partridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Partridge has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Filiberto Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Partridge!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Partridge has taken the fight to the clinch.

Partridge pulls guard.
Duke throws a big right hand that misses.
Partridge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duke is one step ahead there.

Duke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Partridge can do anything to dispel that myth.
Duke trying to stand up but can't free himself from Partridge's guard.

Duke thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Partridge looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duke gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Partridge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Partridge lands in his opponent's guard.
Duke wants to sweep here but Partridge controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Partridge throws an elbow that misses. Duke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Partridge's guard. Nice move by Duke!

Duke seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Partridge for as long as he can get away with.
Partridge preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Partridge can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Duke controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Duke postures up and lands a big shot to Partridge's brow.
Duke would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Duke controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Partridge controls Duke momentarily but Duke frees himself.
Partridge looking for a sweep. Not yet Partridge, not yet.
Duke postures up.
Duke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Duke clinches up against the cage.
Duke wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Partridge has him pressed against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duke on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Duke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Partridge pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Partridge shoots in and gets a takedown into Duke's guard.
Duke wants to get back to his feet but Partridge is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Partridge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Duke utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Duke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Partridge.
Partridge is looking to work some ground and pound but Duke has wrist control.
Partridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Partridge controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Partridge postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Partridge postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Partridge throws a strike but Duke rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Duke controls from within his opponent's guard.
Duke won't allow Partridge to sweep him here.
Duke won't allow Partridge to get back to his feet.
Duke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Duke with a nice head shot there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Adam Partridge will probably get the nod.
That's time! Duke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Partridge drives through with a takedown into Duke's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Partridge tries to free his leg and advance position but Duke is retaining full guard.
Partridge throws an elbow that misses. Duke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Partridge's guard. Nice move by Duke!

Partridge wants to get back to his feet but Duke is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duke drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Duke as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Partridge screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Duke! Nice submission victory there!
