PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeoffroi Plouffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Buddy Guy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Buddy Guy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Plouffe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Guy tries to get to full guard but Plouffe has control of the leg.
Guy is refusing to be controlled, as Plouffe sits in half guard.
Guy has his hands clasped together around Plouffe's back. He's all about the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Guy half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Plouffe wants to get up but he can't break Guy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buddy Guy will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Guy parries the strikes from Plouffe easily there. Plouffe is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Guy to escape.
Guy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Plouffe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I really don't envy Plouffe right now.
