PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Galen Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ipod Apple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes to the cage accompanied by Red - Alredy Over. Ipod Apple told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 67 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ipod Apple!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dall lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dall throws a leg kick which misses Apple's front leg but catches the back leg as Apple tries to avoid it.
Dall lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dall.
Apple tries to clinch there but Dall circles away.
Dall attempts a counter takedown but Apple avoids it well and moves away.
Dall throws a leg kick which misses Apple's front leg but catches the back leg as Apple tries to avoid it.
Dall dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Apple. That did some damage!
Dall swats away the attempt to clinch by Apple.
Apple closes the distance looking to clinch
and Dall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Apple's calf.
Dall's jab looks to have found its range, popping Apple under the eye.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Apple has eaten all the pies!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Apple throws a leg kick

and Dall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Apple is rocked!

Dall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dall drops back looking for a leg! Apple is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Apple manages to kick Dall off! Dall jumps back into Apple's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dall lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Apple really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Apple can't keep his opponent in guard - Dall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dall is looking for a kimura but Apple is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage.
Dall works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dall scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Apple?

Dall is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Apple is forced to tap! Great finish!
