Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gattis tries to bum rush Shoe with a series of wild strikes but Shoe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shoe fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gattis just manages to avoid it.
Shoe scores with a body shot.
Shoe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gattis on the side of the head.
It looks like James Gattis has been cut.
Gattis doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shoe counters with a leg kick.
Nice body kick from Shoe.
Shoe cracks Gattis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Shoe fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gattis has Shoe up against the cage in a clinch.
Gattis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shoe gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gattis tries to work over Shoe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Shoe lands a nice shot to the body.
Shoe leaning his opponent against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Shoe.
Shoe presses Gattis against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Shoe works on Gattis's body with a couple of short punches.
Shoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crunch! Shoe slams his shin into Gattis's torso.
Gattis looks winded!
Shoe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shoe. That's going to slow Gattis down.
Shoe lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gattis falls backwards - clearly groggy! Shoe dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gum Shoe!
