Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Infamous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stratovarius Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Infamous comes to the cage accompanied by Kevin Gates- Hard For. Stratovarius Smiff has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Infamous closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Infamous tries to pull guard but Smiff won't allow it.
Smiff is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Infamous breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Infamous shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smiff manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Infamous slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Infamous avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smiff has a closed guard, preventing Infamous from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Infamous gets to his feet. Smiff looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Smiff gets caught flat footed, as Infamous shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Smiff tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Smiff drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Infamous's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Smiff postures up in Infamous's guard and throws a big left but Infamous blocks it.
Smiff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Infamous is keeping the position for now.
Smiff stands and throws Infamous's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Smiff looks up at the clock and then as Infamous takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Smiff smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Infamous dodges the ground and pound from Smiff.

Smiff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Infamous keeps working.
Infamous wants to control but Smiff postures up.
Infamous pushes Smiff away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smiff gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Smiff postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Infamous manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Infamous works his way to full guard. Good work.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Infamous will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Smiff is looking for a sweep. Infamous is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Infamous is looking to take a break and control but Smiff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smiff won't allow Infamous to pass to mount.
Smiff is trying to get back to full guard.
Infamous wants to take a breather but Smiff is having none of it.
Infamous prevents Smiff from improving his position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Smiff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Infamous shoots in looking for a takedown. Smiff tries to sprawl out of it but Infamous keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smiff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Infamous scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Stratovarius Smiff has been cut.

Infamous shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smiff is trying to defend but Infamous finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Infamous throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Infamous is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smiff can do to turn this around?

Chris Infamous overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Infamous lands a big head kick that sends Smiff tumbling to the mat! Infamous takes a step backwards and waves Smiff back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Infamous closes the distance looking for a takedown. Smiff stuffs it but Infamous still has hold of him. Infamous picks Smiff up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Infamous slams Smiff to the floor and that's really hurt Smiff - he doesn't know where he is! Infamous throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

In his post fight interview, Chris Infamous started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
